“The casual “come with me” transparency around filler content online is helpful in some regards. “Instagram and TikTok influencers are doing these ‘drops’ of information — I think it’s great if we’re talking about, ‘I had this experience, this is what it was like,’ explains Dr. Doft. “A lot of people want to hear about that experience because surgery is kind of scary; even these noninvasive procedures like fillers are intimidating.” What’s missing, though, is medical context.
